Knowing our victory is already won, what would you do if you couldn’t fail?  The only way you or I can fail is if we quit, and we are not of the camp that quits, so don’t quit!

In this fourth of six sessions Pastor Pat Murphy looks at Isaac’s life to reveal one secret to prospering in adversity: Dig the Wells of Faith, Old and New.  Here we’ll see the need to invest in what it takes to be blessed by being a blessing.  We will see that this is just demonstrating the nature and character of our loving God.  In the end we will prosper, and God will be glorified.

From Peter walking on the water to staying on track in our daily walk, focus is key to our success in life.  In the midst of adversity, we tend to be drawn to focus on the storm instead of on the source of our salvation.  This was Peter’s failing.  In this fifth of six sessions Pastor Pat Murphy helps us see the importance of the key, “Focus on the Source of your salvation, not the symptoms of your circumstance.”

Jesus was the shining example of how we are to live our lives.  When faced with adversity that was not even of his own making He acted, following the Father’s lead, doing what He saw His Father doing.  He has called us to do the same.  Following the Spirit’s lead is part and parcel of who we are and it is our second of six keys to being able to Prosper in Adversity.  Pastor Pat helps us see how we can do this in our daily living.

In the beginning, God faced the adversity of an empty, shapeless, dark, lifeless world.  He spoke in faith believing and brought forth the wonder we see today.  We were created in His image and likeness, to think like God and act like God.  We too need to speak in faith believing to the situations we face that are dark, without purpose, and without life, and call forth what we know to be God’s will.  Pastor Pat walks us through what this will look like in our lives.  This is the first of six keys.

We aren’t here to just take up space.  God has a plan, is working His plan, and wants you and I to be part of it all.

Pastor Richard Reed and his wife Louise are the founders of River of God Church in Bedford, PA.  With a vision to reach a lost world and train believers to walk in practical Christian living, the Reeds are impacting their community for Christ.

In this session Pastor Reed points out that Church extends “Beyond the Service.”

Pastor Brian Swain came to Bedford County in May of 2011. He was born in Troy PA.  He spent 27 and a half years in the Air Force.  He served as an Aircraft Mechanic before becoming a Chaplain.  His last assignment was at Arlington National Cemetery where he had the honor of performing over 1,500 funerals.  He is married to Sally and they have three children who are now young, missions-minded adults. He has been credentialed with the Assemblies Of God since 1995.   Pastor Brian brings a breadth of experience from his military service, world travels and education.

In this session, Pastor Brian shares how “Imperfect People” are part of God’s plan for Man.

The Bible tells us a lot about the benefits of being a Christian, but just because He made a promise doesn’t mean you will see the promise fulfilled.  In this session we see how important it is to be led by the Spirit of God and what benefits we can expect as a result.

God is seeking those who will pursue Him with passion and perseverance.  Will you be one of those who do?

Christ Victory Church is a worshiping church.  We love to lift Jesus up in praise, adoration, and worship.  But our worship must extend beyond the four walls of the church house.

At the beginning of each year across the world pastors commonly set forth the “vision” for the year ahead.  the air is abuzz with talk of vision and what it means for our future.  In this session Pastor Pat talks about the “Power of Vision” and why it is key to our operation as the church.

When praying for the sick, do we need the oil spoken of by James?  We look at what the Word says about anointing and how we are to be those who bear the anointing and bring it to bear on those in need.

We need to learn how to throw off limits and boundaries that are not set by God and walk in freedom.

The secret to success is often to be proactive and not give your enemy an opening.  I think it is time we took the battle to the enemy and show him just how defeated he is.  We are the Church, let’s rise up and act like it.

We continue in our study of “Healing the Sick” with a look at our certain victory over all the works of the enemy.  We are here to bring healing to the nations and set the captives free.
