Ministry Departments

Growing into a body of believers where everyone knows who they are, what they have, and what they can do in Christ is what Christ Victory Church is all about. The following is a list of our current (and a few upcoming) “relationship-based” ministries: the ministries that help us grow together into healthier, stronger, more confident and better equipped people. If you have any questions or don’t see what you’re looking for, please contact us at the church office: secretary@christvictorychurch.com.

Band of Brothers Men’s Ministry

Director: Frank Mitchell – secretary@christvictorychurch.com
“Band of Brothers” exists to help each other follow in the example set by Jesus in Luke 2:52: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” We believe that men should be the spiritual heads of their families, that leadership and mentorship should begin at home. We encourage each other to live Christ-like lives: being strong and godly men in the church, community, home and business. Throughout the year we meet for breakfast, Bible studies, and serve the community. We also take time together to enjoy being men: we celebrate Guy Day (a men’s picnic) and hold an annual clay pigeon shoot. For more information, please contact Frank Mitchell or the church office.

Victory Kids

Director: Terri Sims – secretary@christvictorychurch.com

We believe it is important to show our children that they are valuable to God and that they bring great value to our church. Our goal is to develop a place where children can cultivate a relationship with Jesus, growing in Biblical knowledge in a safe environment, and just as important: a place where they can have fun while they’re learning. Children learn best when they can be hands-on, and they often learn while they play. Our children’s ministry is designed to keep up with their energy and meet them where they are. We keep them involved in participatory learning activities – more than just sitting, coloring pages, and singing songs. Our curriculum is developed to ensure that the children are experiencing Jesus at their age level. For more information on our children’s ministry, please contact Terri Sims or the church office.

Covenant Women of God Women’s Ministry

Director: Billie Jo Fochtman  secretary@christvictorychurch.com
Our vision is for every woman to know and understand her covenant relationship with the Father so she can live each day in the victory and truly abundant life that is available. We have a lot going on, as women always do! “Covenant Women of God” meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm for an evening of discussion, teaching, and prayer. We also hold special events quarterly; our Annual Christmas Tea is held the first Saturday of December each year.  Covenant Women of God provides meals for families after the birth of a child or the death of a loved one. For more information, please contact the church office.

React Ministries and Bible Study

REACT Youth Ministry
Director – Lindsay Diehl –  horsedancer3@yahoo.com
Teenagers are full of energy; it’s one of the hallmarks of youth. With so many hours a week spent sitting in school and doing homework during the evenings, there isn’t usually much more “sit still and study” energy left. We believe God made youth this way, and we don’t think a strong youth group needs to fight for enough attention to work in one more lecture a week in order for them to learn. We say God gave youth their energy as a gift – not just for themselves but for the whole church. We don’t believe teenagers are the church of tomorrow; we believe they are a vital part of the church of today. Our goal is to develop our youth into ministers, giving them the tools that they need to change the world, and then help them to do it.

REACT meets at CVC every Sunday at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. At this time we are looking at connecting with the youth to see how we can meet there needs and what they would like to learn about God and the Bible, to give them the resources to become leaders and know what they stand for.  For more information on our youth ministry, please contact Pastor Pat, Pastor Lindsay or the church office or click here to visit the React page.

Girl’s Bible Study. This is a time for the junior high and senior high school age girls to come together to dig deeper into the word of God.  Bible study is held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. If you have any questions contact the Lindsay Diehl at horsedancer3@yahoo.com or contact the church office.

Guy’s Bible Study.  Junior high, senior high school age, and guys of all ages join together to pray, search and seek the word of God.  They meet on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at the church.  If you want more information contact the church office or see Dylan Mitchell.

Prayer Warriors

Director: Linda Mitchell – secretary@christvictorychurch.com
We do not believe it is possible to overstress the importance of prayer. The Bible demonstrates that it has real power to affect change in ourselves and in life situations. As the great revivalist John Wesley once said, “God does nothing except in answer to prayer.” And as John Bunyan, author of A Pilgrim’s Progress, said: “You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you will never do more than pray until you have prayed.” Over and over the Bible calls us to prayer; Jesus himself established prayer a cornerstone of his ministry and called us to follow after him in that example. Prayer is the basis of everything we undertake at CVC. Prayer Warriors is our ministry dedicated to praying for the needs of our church and leadership. We participate in the National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday of May each year by hosting a dedicated day of prayer and we are also involved in semi-annual prayer meetings. For more information, please contact the church office.

Worship Ministry

Director: Cathy Bush – secretary@christvictorychurch.com
Music plays a vital role in ministering unto the Lord. The Psalmist stated in Psalm 150 that we are to praise the Lord. We are to praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him for His mighty acts; and to praise Him with instruments. We are always looking for genuine worshipers to help lead us into the presence and power of the Father. You are welcome to become involved in the music ministry team either instrumentally or as a vocalist. Speak with Cathy if you are interested in becoming part of this important ministry.

LTS- Leadership Training School

Training and Preparation for Ministry and Church Leadership

LTS Dean:  Pastor Lynn Murphy – pastorlynnd@yahoo.com

The Leadership Training School is designed to create lifelong learners.  We offer men and women who want to serve God, the quality training they deserve.  The Bible way of ministry is discipleship, (Matthew 28:19,20; 2 Timothy 2:2), emphasizing on-the-job training, (Mark 3:14,15).  We believe growth and training should be a part of life.
